Øresund Space Collective (ØSC), formed in 2004, is a totally improvising Scandinavian space rock band and has been releasing albums since 2006. The band has played concerts & festivals all over Europe. Their music is quite diverse and influenced by the ever-changing line up in the collective.
The first jams were in 2004, first live concert in 2005 and the debut album of the Øresund Space Collective, on CD only, was released in 2006 on Transubstans Records.
The first vinyl edition was released in 2012 in 300 copies and quickly sold out.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary we are re-releasing this album. It is the same vinyl master as the previous pressing. The cover and the labels have been slightly revised.
The band has released 38 studio albums as well as 13 live albums in a physical format (CD and/or LP). Over 110 musicians have played in the collective.
In recent years the band has moved into a more proggy, experimental direction after years of riff based space rock. The self-titled debut still stands as the real musical starting point of the musical journey that we have all been on.
The vinyl has an extra track not on the CD and contains the full jam 'Falling stardrops explode into Space'.
This 20th anniversary edition is a collaboration among Space Rock Productions and Sound Effect Records.

This album was recorded back in 2022, it features mostly very long and interesting jams. It starts with the 30 min ‘Stars Explode In The Fridge’ and a very relaxed vibe but slowly the guitars, synths and instruments intertwine and weave and wander into the depths of your mind.
‘Cakefakebake’ is a short synth-based piece with a dreamy vibe. The title track ‘Progably You’re Wrong’ is just an amazing musical journey and one of our stand out pieces in their career!! CD 2 is all bonus material not on the vinyl and starts with the 35 min track ‘Down Around Over and About’. Like the first track of the vinyl, this is another long piece, with many different moods and sections but always interesting changes and dynamics. ‘Vilynn Orbits Mars’ is more ambient violin driven track that was quite unique to this studio session. ‘Twissedd’ is a very long and spaced out track to end this musical journey and the
last of the material from 2022 that will be released.
